At Seven Hills Labradoodles, we know you have many breeders to choose from, and we truly appreciate you considering us. We take great pride in our breeding program, the consistency of our Australian Labradoodle puppies, and our commitment to helping both you and your puppy get the very best start together.
If we don’t currently have the perfect puppy available—or if timing doesn’t line up with one of our upcoming litters—we encourage every family to do their homework when selecting a breeder. Anyone can call themselves a breeder, but responsible breeding requires knowledge, experience, transparency, and a genuine commitment to the health and future of every puppy.
Here are some important questions to ask when researching a breeder:
✔ Are they a member of a reputable Australian Labradoodle organization and committed to a code of ethics?
✔ How long have they been breeding, and what experience do they have with raising and socializing puppies?
✔ Are they willing to provide references from past puppy families?
✔ What type of nutrition do they provide for their adult dogs and puppies?
✔ At what age do puppies go home? (Responsible breeders never place puppies before 8 weeks.)
✔ Do they provide complete health records, vaccination records, pedigree information, and identification such as microchip information?
✔ Have both parents undergone genetic and health testing, and can they provide documentation?
✔ Do they offer a written health guarantee?
✔ Are puppies dewormed, vaccinated, microchipped, and started on early socialization and crate training?
✔ Does the breeder carefully screen potential families, or are puppies sold to anyone willing to pay?
✔ Most importantly—do you feel trust, transparency, and an ongoing relationship with the breeder?
Choosing a puppy is more than choosing a dog—you’re choosing a family member and the breeder who helped shape that puppy’s first weeks of life. Responsible breeders are not only evaluating their puppies’ future homes—they’re also committed to being a resource for the lifetime of your dog.
Taking the time to research and choose the right breeder is the first step toward many happy years with an incredible companion. And when your research is done, we hope you choose Seven Hills Labradoodles for your next puppy. 🐾
